About Us
McG & M (Pty) Ltd, t/a iQuest Geology, is a majority citizen owned geological consultancy providing niche services to the mineral exploration industry in Botswana and beyond. Founded in 1992, iQuest Geology offers specialist independent consulting to the exploration industry for diamonds, gold, base metals and industrial minerals. We focus on offering our clients relevant and practical assistance with their exploration projects.
Our principal consultant, director and co-owner is Ian McGeorge, a geologist with long and varied experience in southern Africa. Ian holds a BSc honours degree in geology from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in mineral exploration from Rhodes University, South Africa. He is validated as a Chartered Geologist by the Geological Society, London
Many of the companies’ clients raise exploration funds on the Canadian, Australian or London Stock Exchanges and iQuest Geology is experienced in the preparation of independent technical reports for submission to these exchanges compliant with their reporting codes.
McG & M (Pty) Ltd is registered with the Botswana Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) for geological surveying (code 310-2).
